(KRON) — San Ramon police said officers made quite the discovery after pulling over a driver who allegedly stole merchandise from a Safeway store.
Police said the driver admitted to having stolen goods, which were located in the trunk of their vehicle. They were also identified by a Safeway employee who witnessed the incident.
“During a search of the vehicle, officers launched a Byrna launcher in plain view, along with an unregistered, loaded firearm with high-capacity magazines,” San Ramon police said in social media post on Wednesday.
It is not clear what charges the suspect faces. The approximate value of the recovered merchandise was not disclosed…
