Cyclist hit by car in San Jose dies of injuries

(KRON) — A cyclist who was hit by a car near the intersection of First Street and East Brokaw Road in San Jose on Dec. 16, died from their injuries Jan. 2, according to the San Jose Police Department.

The driver of a 2024 Lexus was traveling through a green light on Brokaw Road at 11:01 a.m. when their car hit a man on an electric bicycle, SJPD said. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Armed individual prompts SFPD response on Embarcadero

The cyclist was taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. Doctors were able to get the man in stable condition. However, he died roughly two weeks later.

The victim’s identity has not been released to the public at this time. The death is considered San Jose’s 39th traffic fatality of 2025…
