San Mateo Man Arrested for Alleged DUI Causing Injury

“San Mateo, CA – On January 1, 2026, at approximately 9:27 p.m., the San Mateo Police Department responded to the area of La Selva Street and Casa de Campo Drive following a report of a two-vehicle collision. Officers arrived on scene and contacted Juan Solisxar, who was identified as one of the drivers involved in the rear-end collision.

While speaking with officers, Solisxar displayed objective symptoms consistent with driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. After conducting field sobriety tests, officers arrested Solisxar for felony DUI resulting in injury to another person. The injured party received medical attention at the scene and was later released.

The San Mateo Police Department reminds the public that impaired driving is not limited to alcohol. Some prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs may negatively affect driving ability.
