A jogger who was struck in a collision in Palo Alto has died from related injuries, according to the Palo Alto Police Department. The person was taken to a hospital after the crash and later died, and police say the investigation is still underway as they work to sort out what happened.

In a post on X, the Palo Alto Police Department shared that the jogger succumbed to injuries from the collision and linked to a longer statement on the city’s site. In the accompanying Palo Alto Police Department news release, officials said officers and Palo Alto Fire Department personnel responded at the scene, the injured person was transported to a local hospital and later died, and department personnel are handling the investigation.
