(KRON) — Palo Alto police said an investigation is underway after a woman was forced to the ground and injured during an attempted robbery on Tuesday morning. Police said the suspect fled the area before officers arrived and is still at large.
SJPD seeks hit-and-run driver who picked up bumper after fatal crash
Police said officers responded to the 700 block of East Meadow Drive after being alerted at 8:25 a.m. of a robbery that had just happened in the last 10 minutes.
Police said they soon discovered that the victim, a woman in her 40s, was walking when she heard footsteps rapidly approaching her from behind.
“The victim was forced to the ground by the suspect,” said police. “The suspect kicked her several times and demanded money from the victim. The victim told the suspect that she did not have any money and then yelled for help.”…
