Tony Gemignani’s fast-casual Slice House is on its way to downtown Menlo Park, filling a long-empty Santa Cruz Avenue storefront and promising slices right in the middle of the pedestrian strip. On-site workers say crews are set to start construction within the next couple of weeks, with a public opening targeted for roughly seven months from now. The move adds another national franchise to Menlo Park’s main drag, which has been in the middle of a busy cycle of restaurant debuts and retail turnover.
Slice House is slated for 775 and 777 Santa Cruz Ave., according to the chain’s official locations page, which lists Menlo Park as “Coming Soon” at that address. On-site workers told The Mercury News that construction should begin within a couple of weeks, with the goal of opening in about seven months.
What To Expect From The Menu
Slice House is the quick-service sibling in Gemignani’s pizza empire, known for slinging slices in several regional styles. The menu includes New York, Detroit, Grandma, and Sicilian slices, plus pastas, salads, wings, and beer. Chef-owner Tony Gemignani, the 13-time World Pizza Champion behind Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, serves as the brand’s public face, and the offerings pull from his multi-style playbook, according to Tony Gemignani.
Downtown Storefront History
