Slice House by Tony Gemignani, a fast-casual pizza concept led by the 13-time World Pizza Champion, is preparing to open in downtown Menlo Park at 775-777 Santa Cruz Avenue.
The new Menlo Park location will open in the former home of The Pet Place, according to Mercury News. Construction is expected to begin in a couple of weeks, with the restaurant planned to open roughly seven months later. A company representative tells What Now that Slice House Menlo Park is franchised by The Yuksel Family, who also operate the Haight Street, Belmont, and soon-to-open Millbrae locations.
Slice House offers four pizza styles: traditional New York, Grandma, Sicilian, and Detroit, available by the slice or whole pies. The concept was founded in San Francisco’s North Beach in 2010 by Gemignani, who also operates Tony’s Pizza Napoletana. The menu includes gluten-free and vegan options, daily slice specials, antipasti, fresh pastas, wings, and desserts such as cannolis and rainbow cake.
