Suspect in Pleasanton double homicide arrested

(KRON) — A suspect has been arrested in connection to an incident in which two people were found dead in a Pleasanton home earlier this week. The Pleasanton Police Department responded on Wednesday morning after reports of gunshots at a residence on the 3100 block of Joanne Circle.

Two adults with multiple gunshot wounds were located at the scene and pronounced dead by first responders. They were identified as a 67-year-old woman and her 28-year-old son.

The Pleasanton Police Department announced on Friday it had identified 31-year-old Allen Swadley of San Jose as a suspect in the incident.

The San Jose Police Department contacted Swadley late Thursday evening during a traffic stop as a result of an Automated License Plate Reader notification. SJPD detained the suspect and transferred him to the custody of the Pleasanton Police Department.
