‘Nothing beats a jet blue holiday’: JetBlue passenger’s flight from Newark takes a scary turn after a loud boom and mid-air shaking

User @carley_hannah on TikTok is reliving her horrific experiences travelling on a JetBlue flight from last week. Uploading a video to her account 5 days ago, Carley told everyone watching that she was present on flight 543 the previous day, which was travelling from Newark to West Palm Beach, and she was seated on a window seat marked 14A.

Carley then revealed that everything was going ‘fine’ on the plane, but then when they ascended to a certain level, which she estimates to be around 10,000 feet, everyone heard a large “boom”, and when she looked out the window, she saw a “large red” and the plane started to smell like fire. This, Carley reveals, created commotion among people, as the flight attendants attempted to locate the source of the smell inside the plane while holding fire extinguishers. Carley then highlights that the flight crew eventually identified the source: the plane engine, following which people were informed that the plane would be redirected to Newark Airport, where they would find available emergency services for people in distress. After reaching the location, people were asked to slide off the doors and were guaranteed compensation for their troubles. While that seems fair, there’s a catch. Continue reading to find out more about that.

User @carley_hannah’s experience flying JetBlue led to one mishap after another, but then things eventually calmed down

After finding herself on a JetBlue flight that caught fire and successfully deboarding it, user @carley_hannah had thought that she had fulfilled the quota of her unfortunate experiences, but she couldn’t have been more wrong. Carley, in her TikTok video, said that after she and the person she was travelling with were relocated to Newark Airport by the JetBlue flight 543 authorities, they received an email telling them that they had been booked for the next flight to Fort Lauderdale instead of West Palm Beach. What’s worse, it was leaving in 15 mins, and they hadn’t received their luggage. Chaos ensued as Carley and her co-traveller thought they would miss their flight, but the authorities informed them that they would be holding the plane until everyone got on it.

Carley was able to fly in the plane without any complications and was also informed about receiving a $150 refund for the JetBlue flight that caught on fire. In the video, she also reveals that she was entitled to an Uber voucher for travelling from Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach, but when she tried to use it, it did not work, urging her to raise a complaint with JetBlue Airways.

People on TikTok have a wide range of reactions to Carley’s video
