Bay Area police warn parents about teen ‘assassin’ game

Bay Area authorities are warning teens and their parents that a water-gun game popular with high schoolers can quickly turn dangerous — and, in some cases, deadly.

The Alameda Police Department said it was monitoring two unpermitted “beach takeover” parties promoted on social media for Sunday and Tuesday, March 17, at Crown Beach. One of the events promotes an “assassin” game using water guns and water balloons, according to the department.
