The happiest place to live also just happens to be one of the most expensive housing markets in the country, a new analysis shows.

WalletHub ranks Fremont, CA, No. 1 on its Happiest Cities in America list.

“Fremont lies within the San Francisco-Oakland-Fremont metro area, one of the most expensive housing markets in the country, with an affordability score of 0.71,” says Anthony Smith, senior economist for Realtor.com®. “Homes across the metro start around $907,000. When you zoom into the city of Fremont itself, the median listing price rises to roughly $1.25 million.”…
