Authorities arrested an apparent Seahawks fan this week in Washington state on suspicion of shooting six people in San Jose during Super Bowl weekend. Police confiscated both the gun allegedly used in the crime and clothing showing the team’s logo.
The shooting occurred in downtown San Jose at around 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8, just hours after the Super Bowl had finished in nearby Santa Clara when two groups of people began arguing outside a business. According to a Monday news release from the San Jose Police Department, the suspect allegedly shot six people near Santa Clara and Market streets. All six had non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were able to use a license plate reader to find the vehicle the suspect allegedly used to leave the scene. Investigators eventually identified the suspect as a Washington state man who allegedly traveled to San Jose for the Super Bowl game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots…
