(KRON) — The Santa Clara Police Department is asking the public for help to solve its investigation into a man’s mysterious death.
The man’s body was found face-down in San Tomas Aquino Creek near Tasman Drive around 2:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, SCPD said. He was later identified by a coroner as Thomas Simpkins.
Detectives determined that Simpkins was seen alive on Super Bowl Sunday, February 8 at 9:30 p.m. in the area of Pruneridge Avenue and Lawrence Expressway in Santa Clara. He was wearing blue jeans, basketball shoes, and a black T-shirt at the time.
