(FOX40.COM) — A stolen pickup led California Highway Patrol officers on a pursuit along northbound Interstate 5 on Sunday before the driver crashed into a semi-trailer and came to rest in an orchard.
According to the CHP, Woodland Area units attempted to stop the stolen vehicle on Monday, when the driver fled northbound on I-5. The pursuit continued into the Williams area, where officers deployed spike strips.
Officials said the pickup struck a semi-trailer after being spiked, then veered off the roadway and into an orchard, where it stopped. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene without further incident…
