San Jose man faces 25 years for attacking USPS letter carrier

(KRON) — A San Jose man pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday in connection with an incident in which he assaulted a United States Postal Service (USPS) letter carrier.

Robert Cordova, also known as Robert Cordona, 49, pleaded guilty one count of robbery of a U.S. mail carrier and one count of assaulting a federal employee, according to prosecutors. Cordova was indicted by a federal grand jury on Jan. 23, 2025.

He faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison and a $250,000 fine…
