Two hotels in the East Bay have been auctioned off at relatively low prices that suggest the region’s lodging market remains frail.
Foreclosed in 2025, Hyatt House Pleasant Hill at 2611 Contra Costa Blvd. in Pleasant Hill and Hyatt House Pleasanton at 4545 Chabot Dr. in Pleasanton were acquired at an auction in late March.
The 142-room Hyatt House Pleasant Hill fetched a price of $3.5 million, according to Alan Reay, president of Atlas Hospitality Group, which tracks the California lodging market. That equated to $26,600 a room.
