A scooter rider was killed Sunday night in a collision with a vehicle in Morgan Hill, the latest in a string of fatal accidents involving electric two-wheeled devices across the Bay Area.
Authorities responded to the 14000 block of Monterey Road at 8:03 p.m. following reports of a crash between an electric scooter and a passenger vehicle.
Despite lifesaving efforts by police and paramedics, the rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are still working to determine whether drugs or alcohol were factors. The rider’s identity has not yet been released…
