Home Eat, a Bay Area-based Chinese restaurant offering regional and fusion dishes, is getting ready to open a new location in Union City at 33348 Alvarado-Niles Road.
The company’s new location is set to move into the former home of The Rose Garden Restaurant in Central Plaza, according to a liquor license application. The previous tenant, operated by the Wong family, closed in August 2025 after 48 years in business. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, Home Eat continues to expand across the region with multiple existing locations.
Founded in 2015 under its original name Fashion Wok, Home Eat has grown into a multi-location brand with restaurants in cities including Cupertino, Fremont, San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and Milpitas.
