Antioch hotel tumbles into loan default as lodging ailments linger

ANTIOCH — An Antioch hotel has toppled into default due to failed real estate financing, another indicator that economic ailments still plague the Bay Area hospitality industry.

The 116-room Antioch Inn & Suites, near the interchange of State Route 4 and Somersville Road, defaulted on $15 million in real estate loans, documents filed April 7 with the Contra Costa County Recorder’s Office show.
