AFD Wins Fire Truck Faceoff, $1,500 Donation to Food Bank

After weeks of voting—and voting and voting—Alameda Fire Department (AFD) has been declared the winner of the 2026 Fire Truck Faceoff, which nets a $1,500 donation to the Alameda Food Bank.

AFD thanked the community for its support in the Fire Truck Face Off Charity Battle, which began back in March and faced numerous delays due to computer glitches along the way. Supporters voted daily (when the site was working properly) and shared posts about the contest on social media, encouraging others to vote and support both AFD and the Food Bank. The total count was 31,192 votes, AFD stated.
