(KRON) — Authorities “busted” a driver who attempted to use a mannequin to qualify for paying a carpool rate on FasTrak, the California Highway Patrol’s Hayward division announced Tuesday on social media. CHP did not state exactly where the driver was when units pulled them over, but that division’s jurisdiction is primarily in the East Bay.
“This driver tried to beat the system with a ‘passenger’ dummy to justify their FasTrak Flex being set to multiple occupants. Only problem? Their partner lacked one important detail… a face,” CHP wrote.
