Car plows into Sunnyvale Safeway store’s floral section

(KRON) — A Honda Accord plowed into a Safeway grocery store in Sunnyvale on South Bernardo Avenue before the car stopped in the store’s floral section on Friday.

Sunnyvale police said the Honda driver was an elderly man who was attempting to park his car when the accident happened. The car made it about 70 feet into the store while customers were shopping.

“Thankfully, injuries were minor, with only one customer inside suffering from a few cuts and bruises,” police wrote. “We are grateful no one was seriously injured.”
