Sierra Kings helps bring farmers market back to Parlier

PARLIER – For the first time in years, a farmers market has returned to the city of Parlier, bringing with it fresh food, local crafts and a gathering space for the community.

The Parlier Farmers Market returned on May 20 to kick off its run on alternating Wednesdays, lasting through July. Hosted at Parlier’s Heritage Park, the farmers market boasts fresh fruits and vegetables grown by Parlier’s very own Future Farmers of America students, local vendors serving up pizza, tacos and cool, sweet treats, and area nonprofits sharing the ways they can support families in Parlier.

“We look forward to creating a fun family event and providing resources and information that will help local residents eat fresh and live healthier, happier lives,” Sierra Kings Health Care District Board of Director Lydia Martinez, a Parlier resident, said in a press release. “Hosting the farmers markets in Parlier is a natural extension of serving our communities.”…
