IDENTIFIED: Man killed after Honda crashes into pole, vineyard in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The driver who was killed last week after his car left the road, hit a pole and overturned into a vineyard in Fresno County has been named by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.

According to the CHP, the crash was reported early Friday morning near Clovis and Jefferson avenues after a passerby spotted the overturned car in a field.

On Monday, the coroner’s office named the driver as 34-year-old Travis Cooper of Dinuba.

Officers said Cooper was driving the Honda sedan south on Clovis Avenue, north of Jefferson Avenue, when the car went off the road. The Honda entered a dirt field, hit a pole, and overturned into a grape vineyard…
