FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) — The 70-year-old man who was found alive on the Fourth of July in a remote area of Fresno County has returned home following his recovery in the hospital.
Rodney Packard returned home on Tuesday after he was treated at Clovis Community Hospital. In a video sent to YourCentralValley.com by his daughter, Valerie Packard, Rodney can be seen being wheeled out of the hospital in a wheelchair before getting up and climbing into a vehicle to leave the hospital campus.
Rodney Packard was missing for nearly six days after leaving his Pinedale home the morning of June 28 to go fishing. He was found on July 4 in a remote area northeast of Pine Flat Lake.
Deputies described his condition as alive, alert, and in good health…
