Man faces felony for pointing laser at Fresno Police helicopter

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KPGE) – A Fresno man could be facing felony charges after pointing a laser at a police helicopter.

According to deputies, the suspect was caught pointing the high-powered laser around 9:30 p.m. Thursday night from the 4000 block of N Duke Ave.

While lower-powered lasers are sometimes used as a toy, the Federal Aviation Administration says high-powered lasers can incapacitate pilots, making them a serious threat when pointed toward the sky…
