MADERA, Calif (KSEE/KGPE) – Police announced on Thursday that they have retrieved multiple illegal firearms and arrested multiple people who were not allowed to possess them, according to the Madera Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of a man holding a gun early Thursday morning at the 1500 block of East Yosemite Avenue, according to the department.
Officials say that officers made contact with 25-year-old Adan Solorio III, who was hiding a sawed-off shotgun in his pant leg. Solorio dropped the gun and attempted to run, but officers quickly apprehended him, according to police.
Police say 36-year-old Omar Marrujo was arrested Wednesday for displaying a firearm. Marrujo allegedly tried to escape once police contacted him by jumping fences and hiding the gun on the roof of a residence nearby…
