Man is rushed to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Fresno on Monday night, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Police responded to reports of a traffic accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian around 7:30 p.m., according to the department. Police arrived on scene at Olive and Safford avenues, according to officers.

After investigating, officials determined that a pedestrian stepped out in front of a vehicle that was traveling west on Olive Avenue. The 40-45-year-old man was hit, and he suffered significant injuries, police say.
