FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fire crews reacted quickly to contain a fire that broke out in a commercial area in Downtown Fresno on Thursday night, according to the Fresno Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire at Butler and Santa Fe avenues just before 9 p.m., according to officials. No one was on scene when they arrived, Fresno Fire says.
The department says that the fire was inside an automotive paint booth, but reaching the fire was a challenge due to fortifications around the property.
Fresno Fire says that rotary saws were deployed to cut through metal fencing to create a clear path to the flames. Once an entrance to the fire was formulated, crews were able to contain the fire to the paint booth portion of the building, according to firefighters…
