Mountain residents heading to or from Fresno late at night will want to leave a little extra time for their drive next week. Three nights of lane closures are scheduled along Highway 41 as crews continue work on the Madera County 41 Expressway Project.
The closures will affect Highway 41 between Avenue 11 and Avenue 15, a stretch familiar to commuters traveling between the mountain communities and the Fresno area.
According to the project’s November 3 commuter alert, crews will continue installing temporary concrete barriers, commonly called K-rail, beginning Sunday, November 8.
Three Nights of Closures
Lane closures are scheduled for 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning on these dates:
- Sunday, November 8, continuing into Monday morning, November 9.
- Monday, November 9, continuing into Tuesday morning, November 10.
- Thursday, November 12, continuing into Friday morning, November 13.
The final closure is expected to end at 6 a.m. Friday, November 13…
