IDENTIFIED: Fresno woman killed in Central Coast crash named by CHP

TEMPLETON, Calif. ( KGPE/KSEE ) – A woman who was killed in a rollover crash in San Louis Obispo County on Monday has been named by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). According to officers, the driver of the single-vehicle crash was from Reedley and the passenger killed was a woman from Fresno.

On Monday, at around 10:40 p.m., CHP says 37-year-old driver Oscar De La Mora Marin and 32-year-old passenger Edna Marquez Galindo were traveling southbound Highway 101, south of Del Rio Road, in San Louis Obispo County at a speed of 90 to 100 miles per hour.

The CHP says De La Mora Marin’s level of intoxication allowed the vehicle to swerve into the center divider, but he over-corrected and it began to spin in a clockwise direction, leaving the freeway and coming to rest on its left side.

During the rollover, Edna Marquez Galindo was ejected and received major injuries according to CHP.

Edna Marquez Galindo was taken to a local hospital in the area, where she died of her injuries as a result of the crash.
