1 displaced after apartment fire, Fresno firefighters say

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A resident has been displaced after their apartment was engulfed in flames for a cooking incident, the Fresno Fire Department said on Thursday.

Firefighters say they received a report of a residential fire around 12:20 p.m. from a neighbor of the affected unit.

Fire officials say the fire was determined to be an accidental cooking fire after the resident had been cooking and left the apartment.

The Fresno Fire Department says there is significant damage to the kitchen area, and the single occupant is being displaced. There have been no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
