Arrest made in southwest Fresno deadly shooting

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 44-year-old man was arrested for the death of 24-year-old Taeshawn Johnson in a deadly shooting in southwest Fresno, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Police say Alfred Samuels was arrested for Johnson’s death. Investigators say On Wednesday, January 17 just after 1:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to Lee Street and Lorena Avenue for a ShotSpotter activation.

Officers say they located Johnson with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

Investigators say they served a search warrant at Alfred Samuel’s home, where evidence related to the crime was recovered.
