On Thursday, an illegal marijuana business was found to be operating out of a private golf club in Fresno. This led to an operation raid.
The California Department of Tax and Fee, the State of California Department of Cannabis Control, and the City Attorney’s Office Code Enforcement Division executed a search warrant at the AOA Private Golf Club located on McKinley Avenue.
Authorities discovered illicit cannabis, cannabis products, and paraphernalia valued at thousands of dollars.
They said that there is evidence of the illicit operation’s prolonged existence.
A criminal inquiry is still underway, but no one has been taken into custody as of yet.
Items taken out will qualify for asset forfeiture schemes offered by the State or municipal governments when the inquiry is over.
The City of Fresno will keep working with our state partners to tackle criminal cannabis enterprises that harm our legal cannabis economy, according to a statement released by Fresno City Attorney Andrew Janz.
Our town is home to unlawful and criminal activities, even to establishments that don’t at first seem trustworthy, as demonstrated by this most recent raid.
