This restaurant continues to live on through a form of ‘pop-up’

FRESNO, Calif. ( KGPE/KSEE ) – Pacific Fried Chicken Company in Fresno gave up its permanent location due to a rent increase however, the popular fried chicken restaurant continues to live on.

The restaurant says it gained a following when it opened in 2021 at Butler and Chestnut avenues.

Now, their friends at Ohana Shack at First and Bullard, have been letting them use their restaurant once a month on Mondays.

“We closed last June and then we started doing pop-ups in November,” says the owner of Pacific Fried Chicken, Long Nguyen. “We do use a lot of Asian influence in our recipes like we use Sichuan peppercorns, we do have soy sauce so it’s very Asian flavor but, still not at the same time where it’s very familiar to people as fried chicken.”

The owner hopes to have a permanent location again at some point. For now, you can follow their pop-up schedule on Instagram .
