FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man was injured after he was struck by a vehicle while traveling on a mobility scooter in Fresno, according to the city’s police department.
Officers say just before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, they responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision near the intersection of Clovis and Kings Canyon Avenues.
Officers say a driver heading southbound on Clovis Avenue struck a man crossing the road on a mobility scooter.
According to police, the man on the mobility scooter was injured in his lower extremities and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There is no information regarding if alcohol or drugs had anything to do with the incident.
This is an ongoing investigation.
