FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A fire burned a restaurant at a strip mall in Fresno Wednesday, according to the Fresno Fire Department.
Fresno Fire says the fire was reported around 11:30 a.m. in the area of First and Herndon Avenues. Several nearby businesses were evacuated due to the fire.
“A big danger in this one is the fact that it got up into the ceiling right in the attic. And then when it gets like that, it could easily spread through a complex like this” said Fresno Fire Public Information Officer Josh Sellers.
Fire Investigators say the fire was the result of an accidental cooking fire in the restaurant’s kitchen. No injuries were reported.
