Man arrested after burglary to storage units in Madera, police say

MADERA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man has been arrested after a burglary and vandalism committed to storage units in a facility in Madera, the City of Madera Police Department said.

Officers say they responded to Madera Secure Storage regarding a burglary in progress.

On scene, police say they were able to locate evidence of a burglary to one of the storage units and vandalism to another. License plate information of the suspect’s vehicle was obtained and followed up on.

Police identified the suspect as 41-year-old Charles Fels of Madera, and police say he was contacted and arrested.

According to the City of Madera Police Department, the suspect used a pry bar to force entry into the storage units, which was recovered inside the suspect’s vehicle.
