PARLIER, Calif. ( KGPE/KSEE ) – The one person who was found dead after a crash near Parlier on Jan. 31, has been identified, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
CHP says the crash happened around 5 a.m. on Jan 31. near Manning Avenue between Riverbend and Smith Avenues.

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has identified, 29-year-old, Cesar Corona Carrillo of Parlier – the driver of the Honda Accord.
According to CHP, the crash happened when a 25-year-old driver of a Jeep Cherokee was going at a high rate of speed – approaching a Honda Civic being driven by a 24-year-old man. The Jeep Cherokee attempted to overtake the Honda Civic but struck it while passing. The Jeep Cherokee lost control and struck another vehicle on the road, a Honda Accord.
The driver of the Honda Accord was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
Officers say the Jeep Cherokee caught fire after the crash and the driver was pulled from the burning vehicle by the driver of the Honda Civic – identified by officers as 24-year-old Guillermo Contreras, who was not injured in the incident.
