FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of The Arthur at Blackstone, an affordable housing development on Thursday.
The event will be on Thursday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. at 3045 N Blackstone Ave., Fresno.
Project officials say this innovative project was located on the site once home to the beloved Arthur’s Toys store and AJ’s Tuxedo Shop. They say it marks a significant milestone in addressing the housing needs of the community especially young people transitioning from foster care.
The event will have key stakeholders, representatives from Fresno Housing, the California State Treasurer’s office, local government officials, and community leaders, according to project officials.
