‘This has to stop,’ says Fresno animal control officer in video going viral

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man in Fresno County found to have 12 litters of puppies on his property is detailed in a viral video shared on TikTok by an officer with Fresno Humane Animal Services.

Fresno Humane Animal Services is an open-admission shelter in Fresno County for all stray dogs – as well as sick or injured cats and livestock – found within Fresno County’s jurisdiction. Officer Alcorn, who has over 300,000 followers on TikTok, shared a video of what she says is her and her partner speaking with a man who had 12 liters of puppies on his property.

“Please for the love of dogs.. spay and neuter your dogs,” wrote Officer Alcorn.

Also in the video shared by Alcorn, she wrote in the video overlay:

Fresno County, This has to stop. Spay and Neuter your pets. Our County is drowning in dogs. Our Shleter is over capacity and cannot sustain this. We have to do better for these animals.

Officer Alcorn

Alcorn says her video posted was to spread awareness of the benefits of spaying and neutering pets, describing the Central Valley as being in an overpopulation epidemic. Alcorn feels not many people are aware of the problem unless they see it.
