FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Three vehicles were involved in a crash after the driver of an SUV flipped on Highway 99 after clipping a big rig, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 11:00 a.m. Monday on Highway 99 southbound near Chestnut Avenue.
CHP says as the SUV approached the back of a big rig, it tried to change lanes into the middle lane. It was going a little too fast and clipped the back of the big rig, which caused the vehicle to spin out of control and overturn.
As it overturned, CHP says it went into the other two lanes striking two more vehicles.
Six people were involved in the crash and one person was transported to a local hospital
