FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 50-year-old man from Clovis pleaded guilty on Monday to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to the federal Department of Justice.
According to court documents, on Aug. 28, 2020, law enforcement officers obtained and executed a search warrant at Ivan Sigmond’s residence, where they found nearly 30 pounds of pure methamphetamine. They also found two handguns and an assault firearm.
According to federal prosecutors, Sigmond faces a minimum statutory penalty of 10 years in prison, a minimum statutory penalty of life in prison, and a $10 million fine. Sigmond is scheduled to be sentenced on May 20, 2024.
