IDENTIFIED: Cyclist dead after crash in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man who died after being hit by a vehicle in Fresno over the weekend has been identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Monday.

According to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office, a man identified as 33-year-old Paul Sanchez of Fresno was riding a bicycle when he got struck by a vehicle near Clinton and Van Ness Avenues on Saturday.

Deputies say the man was transported to a hospital, where on Sunday he succumbed to his injuries.

As of Monday, there is no information regarding the driver who hit the cyclist.

This is an ongoing investigation.
