The City of Reedley has initiated the Military Banner Program to recognize local military personnel. Banners bearing the names of service members will be displayed across the city. The city manages the program and has outlined eligibility requirements and the application process.
The 2024 Military Banner Application period is now open. Completed applications and fees are due at the Reedley Community Center at 100 N. East Ave, Reedley. The application period for new banners is from March 20 to April 5, 2024. Each banner costs $250. Applicants must submit a 5 x 7 high-resolution photo of the service member in uniform, the application, and the required fees. The city will determine the banner’s location.
The application period for re-hanging or renewing banners is from March 1 to April 5, 2024. The cost is $40 per banner. Banners will be displayed by Memorial Day. Applications received after April 5, 2024, will be subject to an $80 late fee and will be displayed before July 4. Banners that have been displayed for four years are not eligible for re-hanging due to wear and tear and safety concerns.
