Multiple crews are searching the San Joaquin River in Firebaugh after a teenage boy went into the water and never resurfaced.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office says it received reports about the teen in the water at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
First responders are searching the waters behind the Firebaugh Rodeo Grounds on 11th and Q Streets, which is also a block away from the Firebaugh Police and Fire Departments.
Deputies say it is a Firebaugh Police Department investigation.
Fresno County and Madera County Sheriff’s deputies, as well as CAL FIRE crews, are aiding in the search for the boy.
