DA: Charges filed against 2 Fresno men for Halloween homicide

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Charges have been filed against two men following a deadly shooting at a Halloween party in 2022, the Fresno County District’s Attorney Office said.

The DA’s office says charges have been filed against Joshua Daniel Garcia, 20, for the murder of Angel Zuniga and the attempted murder of Keytline Magana. Charges have also been filed against Jace Ramirez, 20, for being an accessory after the fact.

2 arrested in connection with Halloween homicide in Fresno, deputies say

Officials say on Oct. 29, 2022, Angel Zuniga was shot and killed while attending a large Halloween party. Garcia was identified as a suspect in the case and was arrested on Monday .

According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, Ramirez was also arrested on suspicion of accessory in this same homicide case, but he has since posted bond and bailed out of jail.

According to the DA’s office, the charges filed for Garcia were murder, discharge of a firearm causing great bodily injury or death, attempted murder, and the personal and intentional discharge of a firearm causing great bodily injury.
