‘Hoppy ending’: Bunnies rescued after home fire in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Firefighters secured a “hoppy ending” amidst a scary incident by rescuing bunnies during a home fire in Fresno.

Firefighters say they responded to a call of a house fire in the area of East Washington Avenue across from Maple Avenue in Fresno around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Neighbors were reporting smoke coming from a home. Fire officials say they were able to quickly extinguish the fire, minimizing the damage to the home. No one was home during the fire, but during their search, firefighters rescued some fluffy bunnies.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
