Man hospitalized after drive-by shooting in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man has been hospitalized following a drive-by shooting in Fresno on Tuesday afternoon, the Fresno Police Department said.

Officers say at 1:30 p.m., in the area of Cedar and Dakota Avenues, a man in his 30s and a woman were driving when another vehicle pulled up alongside them and fired at the car.

According to police, the man was hit at least once in the lower torso. They then drove to the hospital. He is listed in critical but stable condition.

Police say the suspect is a Hispanic man in a light-colored vehicle. They also say this appears to have been a continuation of an earlier disturbance between these parties at another unknown location.

This is an ongoing investigation.
