Friday the 13th to be celebrated in these Valley locations

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The first Friday the 13th of the year is this September, and locations across the valley are celebrating the “unlucky day” with deals and themed events.

In honor of the day, the Historic Crest Theatre in Fresno will be showing “Friday the 13th” this Friday, Sept. 13. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. at 1170 Broadway Plaza. Tickets are $5, cash only.

Those wanting to see Jason (the masked character from Friday the 13th) in person can visit United Skates in Clovis on Sept. 13. According to organizers, their Friday the 13th Skate will include pop-up visits from Jason, spooky café deals, and creepy photo ops.

The skate will take place between 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at 28814 Peach Avenue. In honor of the day, admission is $13, but according to organizers, the best dressed gets a free skate pass.

Rivera Ink Tattoos in Tulare is also taking part in Friday’s festivities with tattoo specials. The shop at 1101 Security Ct. says they will be offering walk-in appointments for flash tattoos from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for $60.
